Friday, September 26, 2008 - 10 PM Micaela Leon - Trance Atlantic "She is a knockout -- tall, blonde and sparkling with her power to act out a song," wrote a critic about Micaela Leon, and the Berliner Zeitung compares her to Greta Garbo. In her latest program "Trance Atlantic" the 2007 Nightlife Award finalist and MAC Award Nominee interprets songs associated with Josephine Baker, Jane Birkin and Marlene Dietrich - three distinct sexual icons of the 20th century who found their greatest success and deepest fulfillment in foreign lands, across significant bodies of water. Leon (who hails from Stuttgart) looks deep within to understand the impetus to travel that she shares with her subjects, while exploring the magnetic appeal of her subjects, who became prophetesses of love and creativity.
