"Scholarship in New York" information from Moon and Stars Project:
PAINTING AND MIXED MEDIA
July 5 - August 4, 2007
This internationally renowned program offers artists an opportunity to work intensively in a private studio, receive individual critiques from faculty, and attend weekly lectures given by guest artists, critics, and gallery directors.
Each participant has exclusive use of a small studio located in School of Visual Arts’ Chelsea Building. Faculty will visit the studios Mondays through Thursdays. Exposure to the New York art world complements this on-site residency program. The cutting-edge galleries of the Chelsea art district are within walking distance of the SVA studios. The program culminates in an open studios exhibition, which enables the participants to present their work to the public.
The programs will be sponsored by the Moon and Stars Project, The American Turkish Society, Mac Art Gallery and School of Visual Arts (SVA) with additional support from The Marmara Manhattan.
The application procedure is as follows: 1. The program is open only to artists residing in Turkey and who are not represented by a gallery.2. The applications should be received by April 7, 2007 at the following address: Mac Art Gallery, SVA Bursu Programi, Mim Kemal Öke Caddesi, No: 23/3-4, Nisantasi 34367, Istanbul3. The application package should include the following. The applications will not be returned. All documents in the package should be 8.5” x 10”. a. 15-20 recent works (only slides or JPeg versions on a CD. No print outs please).b. List of Recent Works provided (name of the work, dimensions, year, materials used)c. Artist’s statement in Englishd. CV (in English and with date of birth)e. Optional: press clippings or other materials showing artistic activity. (No catalogs please.)
The scholarship winner for May 31 – June 30 period will be selected by the School of Visual Arts, who will also provide the studio free of charge. The Moon and Stars Project and The American Turkish Society, with the support of The Marmara Manhattan will sponsor the expenses listed below.
The scholarship winner for July 5 – Aug. 4 period will be selected by the School of Visual Arts. Mac Art Gallery will sponsor all the expenses listed below and the studio fee.

canim post ayarlarindan blogunun ilk acilis sayfasini daha az post gosterecek sekilde ayarlarsan turkiyede ki internet baglanti hizlarimizla daha kolay acilir , hep gec ve zor aciliyor benim bilgisayarda ve bazen sayfa kilitleniyor aklinda olsun :)
