The Wall of Love
Was it you or your loneliness
In the blind dark we opened bleary eyes
Last night's curses on our lips
We would frequent art-lesbian-lovers,
Galleries and public places
My daily care was to remove you into the midst of men
An ammoniac flower in your button hole
My loneliness my incontinent countess
The lower we sink the better
We loitered in the pubs at Kumkapğ
With beanstew, beer and wine before us
And police battalions behind us; in the mornings
My Guardian Saints would find my carcass in the gutters
Hot as the garbage-collecfors' hands,
With their hands I caressed you.
My loneliness my bristle-haired beauty,
The higher we stink the better
I looked in the sky a red flash a plane
Steel and stars and human beings galore
One night we leapt the Wall of love
Where I fell was so clear so open
You and the universe at my side.
Uncountable my deaths, their resurrections.
O loneliness my many songs
The more we can live without lies the better.

Sevgi DuvarıSen miydin o yalnızlığım mıydı yoksa
Kör karanlıkta açardık paslı gözlerimizi
Dilimizde akşamdan kalma bir küfür
Salonlar piyasalar sanat sevicileri
Derdim günüm insan arasına çıkarmaktı seni
Yakanda bir amonyak çiçeği
Yalnızlığım benim sidikli kontesim
Ne kadar rezil olursak o kadar iyi
Kumkapı meyhanelerine dadandık
Önümüzde Altınbaş, Altın Zincir, fasulye pilakisi
Ardımızda görevliler, ekipler, Hızır Paşalar
Sabahları açıklarda bulurlardı leşimi
Öyle sıcaktı ki çöpcülerin elleri
Çöpcülerin elleriyle okşardım seni
Yalnızlığım benim süpürge saçlım
Ne kadar kötü kokarsak o kadar iyi
Baktım gökte bir kırmızı bir uçak
Bol çelik bol yıldız bol insan
Bir gece Sevgi Duvarını aştık
Dustuğum yer öyle açık seçik ki
Başucumda bi sen varsın bi de evren
Saymıyorum ölüp ölüp dirilttiklerimi
Yalnızlığım benim çoğul türkülerim
Ne kadar yalansız yaşarsak o kadar iyi

From Earth Hour US:
On March 29, 2008 at 8 p.m., join millions of people around the world in making a statement about climate change by turning off your lights for Earth Hour, an event created by the World Wildlife Fund.
Earth Hour was created by WWF in Sydney, Australia in 2007, and in one year has grown from an event in one city to a global movement. In 2008, millions of people, businesses, governments and civic organizations in nearly 200 cities around the globe will turn out for Earth Hour. More than 100 cities across North America will participate, including the US flagships–Atlanta, Chicago, Phoenix and San Francisco and Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
We invite everyone throughout North America and around the world to turn off the lights for an hour starting at 8 p.m. (your own local time)–whether at home or at work, with friends and family or solo, in a big city or a small town.
What will you do when the lights are off? We have lots of ideas.
Join people all around the world in showing that you care about our planet and want to play a part in helping to fight climate change. Don’t forget to sign up and let us know you want to join Earth Hour.
One hour, America. Earth Hour. Turn out for Earth Hour!
I am in the library with Jhoana and we are studying internal controls for our Audit exam on Tuesday. While I was doing an online research choosing which control to test and their reliability of controls, I come across this quote by James Madison and loved it. Here it goes;
"If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary."
James Madison, The Federalist Papers, No. 51, 1788
PS: I am going to be very busy for next couple weeks, as I am trying to graduate in May and there might be some delays in posting, so my apologies in advance.
